ElectroChem does not just sell product – but researches, develops, tests and manufactures highly reliable stacks, MEA’s, and electrodes. And not only does ElectroChem offer a comprehensive line of standard products – but we also welcome customized requests to meet a customer’s needs

Gamry Instruments

ApplicationThe Gamry FC350 Fuel Cell Monitor is designed to measure the electrochemical impedance of operating fuel cells at high current levels. The FC350 consists of a Digital Controller, an Interface, and FC350 Software working in conjunction with an Electronic Load.

The Gamry Instruments Reference 3000 is a high-performance high-current Potentiostat/Galvanostat/ZRA similar to Gamry’s popular Reference 600.  Building on the success of the Reference Family of Gamry Potentiostats, the Reference 3000 was engineered to meet the demands of higher current applications.

The Reference 3000 is a single Potentiostat sensitive enough for research and capable enough for development of your battery, capacitor, or fuel cell.  It is smaller and lighter than most comparable potentiostats.   Don’t let its size fool you -- it offers research-grade performance.  While the Reference 3000 can apply and measure ampere level currents, it is also an excellent low-noise, small signal potentiostat that can work with picoamp currents.

EIS Measurement of a Very Low Impedance Lithium Ion Battery

Low impedance samples, such as batteries and fuel cells, give rise to that evil actor...inductance.  Simple things, like the orientation of your cell cables, begin to matter.

The WSI-Corp Porometer 3G
The Porometer 3G is a third generation instrument for measuring the pore size of through-pores in sheet and solid materials. Typical samples include membrane filters, paper, porous plastics, thin films, and other sheet materials. It can analyze Battery Separators and Electrodes
 Measures:
  • Bubble Point or Maximum Pore Size
  • Mean (Flow) Pore Size,
  • Analysis Range 500µm to 0.05 µm diameter
  • Minimum Pore Size
  • Gas Permeability
  • Optional Liquid Permebility

TheWSI Porometer 3G uses the well known liquid expulsion technique in which one side of wetted porous sample is subjected to a continually increasing gas pressure. The pores empty of liquid when the applied pressure exceeds the 'capillary pressure'. The capillary pressure is dependent upon the pores size, the wetting liquid and its interface properties.
